Day 1 of the League of Ancients FOG Doubles Tournament.
We’ve moved through a number of periods in our annual Doubles competition and returned to
the Dark Ages. While there is on-going debate about how dark this period actually was, if you
fancy yourself as Arthur, Charlemange or any of the other great personalities of the period find a
friend (or convenient scapegoat) and enter.

RULES: Field of Glory
ARMIES: Armies must be selected from the Field of Glory companion books
Legions Triumphant, Decline and Fall, Wolves from the Sea or Lost
Scrolls. Only one army list is to be provided, including all options
relevant to the composition of the force eg special campaigns. All battle
groups must be fully defined by type, armour, quality, training and
capabilities and points shown. Allied battle groups must be clearly
identified. Only options available between 500 AD and 1000 AD can
be chosen. The Order of March must be supplied with the army list
and your army list cannot exceed 1000 army points, including at least
4 generals. Each player must control at least 40% of the army’s battle
groups and 2 of the generals. Provide a return e-mail address or telephone
number in case corrections need to be made.
ROUNDS: There will be two rounds on each day.
TERRAIN: Terrain will be set by players as described in the rules.
PRIZES: The following prizes will be given:
• Army of Light Award – Best army with a majority of drilled
battlegroups
• Army of Darkness Award – Best army with a majority of undrilled
battlegroups
ENTRY FEE: $10 per day. Make cheques or money orders payable to the League of
Ancients Inc. Payment can be made on the day.

Paul and I had the bye in the first round so we used that to practice with the army (un-successfully).
Second round we scraped a few points for a losing draw against the first of the armoured bow cavalry with elephants army we were going to face with our always down on pretty much every POA Gepid/Lombards.
